The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of Charlie Kirk. He upheld individual liberty and personal responsibility as the foundation of a healthy society, fiercely opposing socialism and leftist ideologies. Charlie stood against the distortion of truth and suppression of free speech under political correctness, advocating for a life of conviction. His bold example inspired countless young people. May his words continue to remind us of the importance of freedom, justice, and principled living.

⊙ Education & The Pursuit of Truth: Quotes from Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

“Education should focus on teaching students how to think, not what to think.” - Charlie Kirk

"Many textbooks fail to present students with both sides of an issue. Students are being pushed toward an education that demonizes free enterprise while advocating top-down government, deficit spending and class warfare." - Charlie Kirk

"One of the most horrifying and surprising evolutions we have witnessed among our widespread campus network is the rapid movement away from tolerating opposing ideas and respectful debate to the deployment of obscene bully tactics from the left." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility
"When you deliberately distort and selectively present the truth, you lie." - Charlie Kirk

"We have been indoctrinated to see the world through a politically correct lens." - Charlie Kirk

"While freedom-loving people like libertarians and conservatives wish to provide the illumination of facts and the focus of reason for young people so that they might see and think clearly, those who call themselves progressives favor the classic totalitarian tactic of indoctrination." - Charlie Kirk

"We have to teach goodness to our infants." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

“When you stop having a human connection with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to want to commit violence against that group. What we as a culture have to get back to is being able to have a reasonable disagreement where violence is not an option.” - Charlie Kirk

"Our mission was to create a powerful conservative grassroots activist network on campuses and identify, educate, train and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets and limited government." - Charlie Kirk

"There are young conservatives out there, and there have been for decades." - Charlie Kirk

"I know many young conservatives all across the country that are isolated and ostracized due to their beliefs. They are portrayed as bigots, misogynists and ignorant just because they are conservative." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

“The best thing a human being can do is to help another human being know more.” - Charlie Kirk

⊙ Critique of Government Overreach, the Left, and Socialism: Quotes from Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

“If our government doesn’t fulfill its obligations to its own people first, its government is not legitimate.” - Charlie Kirk

"As government imposes the will of a few upon the many, the many begin to resist. Ultimately, it becomes necessary for the government to use force to make the people conform." - Charlie Kirk

"Political correctness is the deadliest of political weaponry." - Charlie Kirk

"Democrats have long been the party of voter fraud." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

“Conservatism is not about hating change; it’s about preserving what is good and proven.” - Charlie Kirk

"If there's one thing Democrats are good at, it's killing American jobs." - Charlie Kirk

"I'm urging all my millennial peers and the young people coming up behind us to look for signs and symptoms of them being in a Democrat-induced delusion. Don't confuse the dream state of the socialists with any sort of reality. If you spot any signs of this politically terminal affliction within yourself, please seek help." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

"Requirements for an ID are not voter suppression - they are just commonsense steps to ensure people don't vote if they are ineligible, don't vote using false identities and don't vote more than once." - Charlie Kirk

"Letting non-citizens vote jeopardizes our principles as a nation. They vote only for entitlement, not for their own responsibility as citizens." - Charlie Kirk

"The left has viewed the coronavirus pandemic as a political 'opportunity' from the start." - Charlie Kirk

"Nothing in socialist doctrine argues for the abuse of power, from Thomas More, to Karl Marx, to Chavez, to Ocasio-Cortez. Historically, however, it has been the case that socialist countries often end up violently suppressing their citizens." - Charlie Kirk

"The case for socialism is always made based on an ideal and a promise. The ideal is that humans can lovingly coexist in a sharing and peaceful way. The promise is that this time, unlike failed attempts elsewhere, socialism will be implemented properly, and no citizen will suffer as a result." - Charlie Kirk

The Legacy of Charlie Kirk: Education, Liberty, and Responsibility

"In politics as in sports, the best defense is a good offense." - Charlie Kirk

Across the world, we are witnessing a rise in extremism, authoritarianism, and social unrest driven by leftist ideologies, socialism, and pro-China forces. In these troubling times, the passing of Charlie Kirk, a courageous voice for freedom, responsibility, and justice, brings even greater sorrow.

Though South Korea currently faces growing instability under a pro-China, left-wing administration, the spirit of the conservative movement—committed to liberty and democratic values—remains alive.

As we reflect on Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy, may we reaffirm our commitment to the principles he stood for, and pray that those values will continue to thrive in Korea and around the world.

Matthew 27:11-26: A Trial of Injustice and Silence

Matthew 27:11-26 recounts the scene where Jesus stands before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor, for interrogation. This passage is a crucial prelude to Jesus' Passion and death.

⊙Matthew 27:11-26 : A Trial of Injustice and Silence

This passage recounts the trial of Jesus before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Pilate asks Jesus if He is the king of the Jews, to which Jesus gives a subtle affirmation. Despite being accused by the chief priests and elders, Jesus remains silent, astonishing Pilate with His composure and refusal to defend Himself.

Pilate, realizing that Jesus was handed over out of envy, offers the crowd a choice as part of a festival custom: to release either Jesus Barabbas, a notorious criminal, or Jesus who is called the Messiah. Influenced by the religious leaders, the crowd chooses Barabbas and demands that Jesus be crucified.

Though Pilate finds no fault in Jesus and questions the reasoning for such a punishment, the crowd shouts all the louder for crucifixion. In an attempt to absolve himself of responsibility, Pilate washes his hands before the people, declaring himself innocent of Jesus’ blood. The crowd, in turn, accepts the responsibility, saying, “His blood is on us and on our children.”

Pilate then releases Barabbas and has Jesus flogged and handed over to be crucified. This passage illustrates themes of injustice, mob mentality, moral cowardice, and the fulfillment of Jesus’ path to sacrificial death.

Matthew 27:11–26 feels eerily similar to the current presidential impeachment situation in South Korea. President Yoon Suk-yeol has been impeached by a corrupt Constitutional Court, pro-China and pro–North Korea politicians, and their leftist sympathizers.

South Korea’s liberal democracy is now under serious threat from communist acolytes backed by the Chinese Communist Party and the North Korean regime. Many fear that the free world is on the verge of losing South Korea to the influence of China, North Korea, and the threat of dictatorship, a situation we must actively resist.

⊙Matthew 27:11-26 : A Trial of Injustice and Silence

⊙Matthew 27:11-26 : Jesus Before Pilate

11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.

12 When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.

13 Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?”

14 But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.

15 Now it was the governor’s custom at the festival to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.

16 At that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus Barabbas.

17 So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?”

18 For he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him.

19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”

20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

21 “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor. “Barabbas,” they answered.

22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify him!”

23 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

25 All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”

26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Raymond Aron: Insights on Reason, Freedom, and Society

Raymond Aron, a liberal intellectual, analyzed society and politics with a cold intellect and realist perspective. His quotes emphasize critical reflection on ideology, insights into human nature, and the importance of intellectual honesty. His philosophical reflections and critical perspective invite us to rethink freedom, responsibility, and human nature.

⊙ Quote of the Day: The Two Faces of Leftist Ideology

The honest leftist is a fool, and the intelligent leftist is dishonest. Le socialiste honnête est un imbécile, et le socialiste intelligent est malhonnête. - Raymond Aron -

Le socialiste honnête est un imbécile, et le socialiste intelligent est malhonnête.

- Raymond Aron -

This quote is not directly cited from Raymond Aron's book The Opium of the Intellectuals, but it aligns with his ideological perspective. In this quote, Aron suggests that an honest leftist may be a simple person who fails to properly understand reality, while an intelligent leftist may distort facts or ignore the truth in order to preserve their ideological purity. This reflects Aron's critical view that leftist ideology is not an ideal solution to the complex problems of reality, and it may even deepen social division and conflict. Aron warns against being trapped by political ideologies or ideals that prevent one from confronting reality, and stresses the importance of a rational and realistic approach.

⊙ Raymond Aron: Insights on Reason, Freedom, and Society

"The essential vice, the utmost evil, is Pride. Unchastity, anger, greed, drunkenness, and all that, are mere fleabites in comparison. It was through Pride that the devil became the devil: Pride leads to every other vice: it is the complete anti-God state of mind." - Raymond Aron

Own Your Actions: The Power of Personal Responsibility

Take responsibility for your actions. These quotes remind us that success and failure depend on our own efforts, not excuses. Embrace challenges and strive for improvement.

⊙ Quote of the day: Take Responsibility - The Importance of Self-Responsibility

Own Your Actions: The Power of Personal Responsibility

A bad workman blames his tools.

- English proverb -

  • A bad workman always blames his tools.
  • An ill workman always quarrels with his tools.
  • A bad workman finds fault with his tools.
  • A bad shearer never has a good sickle.

The proverb's origins are unclear, but it is believed to have originated in 13th-century Europe or England in the 16th century. Like the sayings "A bad workman blames his tools," it reminds us to take responsibility for our own actions when we fail or make mistakes, rather than blaming external factors. It suggests that a skilled or competent person can overcome challenges and achieve success despite limitations, while an incompetent person will always find excuses for their shortcomings. The proverb warns against an attitude that refuses to acknowledge one's own lack of ability or effort and tries to avoid situations with excuses.

⊙ Clumsy Skills, Full of Excuses: It's Not the Tools, It's Your Lack of Skill

This collection of quotes focuses on personal accountability and the importance of taking responsibility for one’s own actions and failures. The common theme is that it’s not external factors, such as tools or circumstances, that lead to failure, but rather a lack of effort or skill. These quotes emphasize the idea that making excuses only hinders personal growth and success. True achievement comes from owning your mistakes and working to improve, rather than shifting the blame elsewhere.

You are your own worst enemy. - Unknown

The only thing stopping you is you. - Unknown

If you blame others for your failures, do you credit them with your successes? - Unknown

The fault lies not in our stars, but in ourselves. - William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

A fool can ask more questions than a wise man can answer. - Francis Bacon, Essays

If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse. - Jim Rohn

See with Your Heart: Love, Friendship, and Responsibility in The Little Prince

This passage from The Little Prince explores the deeper meanings of love, friendship, and responsibility, reminding us that what truly matters is invisible to the eyes.

⊙ Quote of the day: The Invisible Truth, Love and Friendship Beyond Appearances

See with Your Heart: Love, Friendship, and Responsibility in The Little Prince

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly;

what is essential is invisible to the eyes.

- The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) : Antoine de Saint-Exupéry -

It's a famous passage from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, Chapter 21, which emphasizes that the true nature of the world cannot be understood through external, visible things, but rather through what is felt and understood by the heart. It conveys the realization that the essence of love, friendship, and human connection lies beyond what the eye can see, and that only the heart can truly recognize this.

We are often deceived by appearances and lose sight of what truly matters. It is our spiritual growth and relationships, not material possessions, that bring us genuine happiness. Human relationships are far more valuable than what we perceive with our eyes, and love and friendship are the most precious values that enrich our lives.

Don't be misled by appearances; look with your heart. With this mindset, we hope you will cherish the true value of love and friendship.

  • It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eyes.
  • What is essential is invisible to the eye.
  • Men have forgotten this truth.

- But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends anymore. If you want a friend, tame me.

See with Your Heart: Love, Friendship, and Responsibility in The Little Prince

⊙ The Little Prince: Chapter 21.

It was then that the fox appeared. “Good morning,” said the fox.

“Good morning,” the little prince responded politely although when he turned around he saw nothing.

“I am right here,” the voice said, “under the apple tree.”

“Who are you?” asked the little prince, and added,

“You are very pretty to look at.”

“I am a fox,” the fox said.

“Come and play with me,” proposed the little prince.

“I so unhappy.” “I cannot play with you,” the fox said.

“I am not tamed."

“Ah! Please excuse me,” said the little prince.

But, after some thought, he added : “What does that mean -‘tame’?”

“You do not live here,” said the fox.

“What is the that you are looking for?”

“I am looking for men,” said the little prince.

“What does that mean -‘tame’?

“Men,” said the fox.

“They have guns, and they hunt, It is very disturbing. They also raise chickens. These are their only interests. Are you looking for chickens?“

“No,” said the little prince. “I am looking for friends. What does that mean- ‘tame’?”

“It is an act too often neglected,” said the fox.

“It means to establish ties.” “‘To establish ties’?”

“Just that,” said the fox. “To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys.

And I have no need of you, And you, on your part, have no need of me.

To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.

But if you tame me, then we shall need each other.

To me, you will be unique in all the would.

To you, I shall be unique in all the would...”

“I am beginning to understand,” said the little prince.

“There is a flower... I think that she has tamed me...”

“It is possible,” said the fox. “On the Earth one sees all sorts of things.”

“Oh, but this is not on the Earth!” said the little prince.

The fox seemed perplexed, and very curious.

“On another planet?” “Yes.”

“Are there hunters on that planet?”

“No.” “Ah, that is interesting! Are there chickens?”

“No.” “nothing is perfect,” sighed the fox.

But he came back to his idea.

“My life is very monotonous,” the fox said.

“I hunt chickens; men hunt me. All the chickens are just alike, and all the are just alike. And, in consequence, I am a little board.

But if you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine on my like.

I shall know the sound of a step that will be different from all the others.

Other steps send me hurrying back underneath the ground.

Yours will call me, like music, out of my burrow.

And then look: you see the grain-fields down yonder?

I do not eat bread. Wheat is of no use to me.

The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad.

But you have hair that is the color of gold.

Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me!

The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back the thought of you.

And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat...”

The fox gazed at the little prince, for a long time.

“Please – tame me!” he said.

“I want to, very much,” the little prince replied.

“But I have not much time. I have friends to discover, and a great many things to understand.”

“One only understands the things that one tames,” said the fox.

“Men have no more time to understand anything.

They buy things all ready made at the shops.

But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more. If you want a friend, tame me...”

“What must I do, to tame you?” asked the little prince.

“You must be very patient,” replied the fox.

“First you will sit down at a little distance from me – like that - in the grass. I shall look at you out of the corner of my eye, and you will say nothing.

Words are the source of misunderstandings.

But you will sit a little closer to me, every day...” next day the little prince came back.

“It would have been better to come back at the same hour,” said the fox.

“If, for example, you come at four o’clock in the afternoon, then at three o’clock I shall begin to be happy.

I shall feel happier and happier as the hour advances.

At four o’clock, I shall already be worrying and jumping about.

I shall show you how happy I am! But if you come at just any time

I shall never know at what hour my heart is to be ready to greet you...

One must observe the proper rites...”

“What is a rite?” asked the little prince.

“Those also are actions too often neglected,” said the fox.

“They are what make one day different from other days, one hour from other hours.

There is a rite, for example, among my hunters. Every Thursday they dance with the village girls.

So Thursday is a wonderful day for me!

I can take a walk as far as the vineyards.

But if the hunters danced at just any time, every day other day, and I should never have any vacation at all.”

So the little prince tamed the fox. And when the hour of his departure drew near - “Ah,” said the fox, “I shall cry.”

“It is your own fault,” said the little prince. “I never wished you any sort of harm ; but you wanted me to tame you...”

“Yes, that is so,” said the fox.

“But now you are going to cry!” said the little prince.

“Yes, that is so,” said the fox. “Then it has done you no good at all!”

“It has done me good,”said the fox,

“because of the color or the wheat filds.” And then he added :

“Go and look again at the roses.

Then come back to say goodbye to me, and I will make you a present of a secret.” The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.

“You are not at all like my rose,” he said.

“As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one.

You are like my fox when I first knew him.

He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.

But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique ln all the world.”

And the roses were very much embarrassed.

“You are beautiful, but you are empty,” he went on.

“One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you – the rose that belongs to me.

But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses :

because it is she that I have watered; beause it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies); because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.”

And he went back to meet the fox. “Goodbye,” he said,

“Goodbye,” said the fox.

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

“What is essential is invisible to the eye,” the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember,

“It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.” “It is the time I have wasted for my rose -” said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.

“Men have forgotten this truth,” said the fox.

“But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, forwhat you have tamed. You are responsible for my rose...”

“I am responsible for my rose,” the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.
